UFN 13 is the Most Stacked UFC Event EVER!

Tomorrow is a great night to be an MMA fan given that we're treated to a 3 hour fight card on Spike TV. This fight card is worthy of being a pay per view.

Every single fight has some implications in their respective divisions. We'll start with the non-televised fights.

Welterweight Bout
Anthony Johnson - 169.5
Tommy Speer - 170

Tommy Speer has a lot to prove after a very poor showing against Mac Danzig at TUF finale. He's much bigger and stronger than Danzig but provided little resistance before being choked out.

Roman Mitichyan - 170.5
George Sotiropoulos - 169.5

Roman Mitichyan was the jerkoff who threatened the doctor when he was told he wasn't being cleared to fight. I still don't get why he wasn't punished for his behavior. Dana White preaches that his fighters are good citizens but Mitichyan proved to be a whiney bitch. If it were my office he wouldn't have walked out, he would have been dragged out. George Sotiropoulos had a poor showing during TUF 6 but redeemed himself in his last fight. I hope he destroys Mitichyan and I will further descredit that Armenian jerkoff regardless of what happens.

Lightweight Bout
Samy Schiavo - 155
Clay Guida - 156

Potential fight of the night. Clay Guida is coming off a TKO loss to Roger Huerta, in a fight that Guida was clearly winning. It just goes to show you gotta either finish the fight or go the distance. Guida will be coming out guns a blazing as usual and should get the 'W'.

Can you believe these are the fights that aren't on tv?

Ryan Roberts - 155.5

Din Thomas - 155

The Dentist is back after a bit of a layoff from the UFC while Din Thomas is healed after tearing his knee up against Kenny Florian and had allegations dropped after supposedly holding non sanction fights in his gym.

Light Heavyweight bout
James Irvin - 205
Houston Alexander - 205

Houston Alexander is looking to get back to his dominating ways after suffering a loss which exploited his defense. He's well known for blasting away but wasn't able to show much of a guard in his last fight and he was knocked out.

Lightweight Bout
Kurt Pellegrino - 155.5
Nate Diaz - 156

Batman is gonna have his hands full with jiu-jitsu ace Nate Diaz. The TUF 5 winner has been dominating since the series and hasn't been even tested. This should be his toughest fight to date and also has the potential for a fight of the night.

Light Heavyweight bout
Tim Boetsch - 206
Matt Hamill - 204

This was originally scheduled to be Matt Hammill vs. Stephan Bonnar which has main even properties. Unfortunately Bonnar tore up his knee training and Time Boetsch has stepped in. Now that Michael Bisbing has dropped to 185lbs, we might never see the re-match between Hamill and Bisbing.

Welterweight bout
Thiago Alves - 171
Karo Parisyan - 171

Karo Parisyan was awarded a title shot back in 2005 and has still never gotten it. He had to withdraw due to injury and for some reason dropped down in rankings. I don't really care for the guy but it's not right. If Matt Serra beats St. Pierre, a fight with Matt Hughes is certainly the next fight. If Hughes beats Serra, a rematch will be the next fight, which means Parisyan won't get a shot until 2010 if he's lucky. If St. Pierre defeats Serra, Jon Fitch is the logical #1 contender so he even has to wait behind him. It's an unfortunate series of events but hopefully he'll get his title shot soon.

Lightweight bout
Gray Maynard - 155
Frankie Edgar - 155.5

This fight should be awesome. Frankie Edgar has been dominating and is ready for the next level. He, like Clay Guida, will never run out of gas. His last fight was his most impressive in his dismantling of Spencer 'The King' Fisher. Fisher is a terrific fighter and Edgar made him look like an amateur.
Gray Maynard was a favorite to win TUF 5 but was submitted by Nate Diaz during the show in a fight he was clearly winning. He fought Rob Emerson at the Finale and knocked himself out dropping Emerson on his back. The fight was ruled a 'no contest'. It didn't damage the credibility of Maynard but a win over Edgar would shoot him up the rankings.

Lightweight bout - Main Event
Joe Lauzon - 156
Kenny Florian - 155.5

This fight is very worthy of a main eventer. Kenny Florian is dominating everyone since his loss to Sean Sherk. He even made the boldest statement after his last fight which gives me the goosebumps. He said, "If (UFC Matchmaker) Joe Silva calls you to tell you they have an opponent for you, you better hope and pray that it's not Kenny Florian!"

Joe Lauzon has been training with BJ Penn so a once promising fighter has only gotten better. This fight will not diminish either fighters credibility at all. This has the potential to be a jiu-jitsu war, one that us MMA fans haven't gotten in a long time.
