MMA enthusiast and former King of Queens star Kevin James was at the Bob Hope Chrysler Pro-Am yesterday wearing a 'Tapout' hat. Who would have thought the MMA world would cross with golf. It's not known if James was paid by Tapout to wear the hat.
James is known for attending all the major UFC events and has been a fan since the early 2000's.
Golf tournaments rarely, if ever, have sponsors of violence. More times than not, people are clad in Titleist, TaylorMade, and Srixon attire. Throw in the occasional health insurance logo and restaurant and the walking advertisements are complete. But I can guarantee that an MMA logo has ever been donned during a golf event.
Kevin James just proved that MMA has become fully mainstream and it doesn't appear to be stopping.
It's just odd that it's on a golf course. When Tiger Woods breaks out a Xyience logo on his hat then the MMA revolution will be complete.
