Former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk, who was stripped of his title after his failed drug test, is set to return to fight in April, hopefully at UFC 84 in Montreal.
Sherk's last fight before the positive test was in July when he posted a unanimous decision over Hermes Franca, who also tested positive for a banned substance.
Sherk maintains his innocence and stated that the UFC will give him an immediate title shot, meaning he could face the winner of Joe Stevenson and BJ Penn. If that takes place, the fight card at UFC 84 could have 2 title fights. Matt Serra is scheduled to defend his welterweight title against Georges St. Pierre that night as well.
