Middleweight contender Thales Leites has withdrawn from UFC 81 with a broken hand he suffered in training Monday. Leites was scheduled to fight Nate Marquardt, former #1 contender in the middleweight division.
There are no details of the extent of the injury or how long he'll be on the shelf. Surgery on his hand is scheduled for later this week. There is also no word on a replacement to fight Marquardt.
